![]() Now this is what I call a dynamic system. Forecast is working out ok, except if you live just 15 miles up the line along I-81. Not that much. What happened? Heavy snow band nearly stalled just north of Harrisburg and inched northeast. Those that spent 2-3 hours in it got several inches fast (as of 9 am 5" near Jonestown and 6" near West Hanover. Pretty impressive, and in April too!). Those that didn’t get into it won’t as it is weakening. Forecast was challenging, but turned out ok. Not perfect. But ok. On to the next challenge: Monday. I am wary that a couple of light showers come in just prior to sunrise Monday and stabilize the atmosphere thus trapping the cool air at the surface. This might make for a much cooler day as temps stay trapped in the 40s. If this happens, Mon night will feature a slow rise in temps toward Tue morning. General picture after today is milder and more like spring. Not great yet, but much better than this past week. Some great weather (like we had in March) will come a little after tax day April 15th. Points for Next 7 Days:
Details: Sunday: 39. Sun and clouds. Cold. Clouds increase. Shower possible very late. Monday: 52 very late in the day or overnight. Partly sunny to mostly cloudy. Chance of a shower as warm front moves through. Breezy. Tuesday: 60. Mostly cloudy. Rain ending. Wednesday: 55. Mostly sunny. Nice. Thursday: 58. Mostly sunny. Nice. Friday: 60. Sun and clouds. Nice. Saturday: 62. Sun and clouds. Possible shower.
