Weather thru September 15 Updated

9/7/2013

Midweek Update: Be on a watch out for come heavy storms/showers later this afternoon: heavy rain, strongs winds, lightning and hail are all possible.

Not too bad so far, too cool for Wed that was for sure. Perfect set up came to pass to sour temps into the 90s, and I am probably too warm for today by a couple degrees. The adjustments are as follows: Fri: high 73, low 46; Sat: high 66, low 42; Sunday will be kept the same. Enjoy the cool fall air when it arrives tonight and tomorrow on a gusty north/northwest wind.
Review of the Past Week:

A great ending to the week!  A very humid start, and a cool, dry ending. The forecast was really, really good with only some minor errors. Sun = A, Mon = A+, Tue = A+, Wed = A-, Thu = A, Fri = A+, Sat = B+ (too cool both day and night) total grade = A.

Overview for Coming Week:

A very changeable week is coming. Like roller coaster. Going down, going up and going down again. Starting with another weak cold front coming through early Sunday morning giving some clouds, then another bubble of high pressure and cool temps, but a very big warm up occurs Tue – Thu.  A big surge of warm and humid air roars in Tue. Cold front then plows through late Thu – Fri time period with showers and storms. But back to refreshing September air for the weekend.  This will bring some frost to the upper Midwest, New York, and New England over the weekend. Northern half of PA ought to be wary. We should be ok, but it will feel like fall!

Specifics:

Sunday: Partly sunny, pleasantly warm with dry air and northerly breeze. Daytime highs near 78. Nighttime lows near 45.

Monday: Sunny, clear skies and dry air. Cooler again. Some wispy clouds might come in late. Daytime highs near 71. Nighttime lows near 54.

Tuesday: Sun and clouds as warm front moves through to our north. Much warmer and more humid with a west-southwest wind, picking up. Daytime highs near 86. Nighttime lows near 63.

Wednesday: At least partly sunny, with a scattered shower or thunderstorm possible. Humid and hot for September. Daytime highs near 88. Nighttime lows near 68.

Thursday: Partly sunny, with showers and thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. Hot and humid again.  Daytime highs near 88, nighttime lows near 68.

Friday: Partly sunny, becoming less humid with a left over shower early. Daytime highs near 78, nighttime lows near 48.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, fall like with chilly air coming from Canada. Daytime highs near 68, nighttime lows near 42. (Have to watch and see how cold it will get as frost may be hitting areas to our north not too far away.)

Sunday:   Mostly sunny. Daytime highs near 73, nighttime lows near 43.

Hint thru September 22: Again, one must be alert for tropical trouble. But all in all it looks, like this week will resemble the week of the 15th. Cooler to start, then warmer, then cooler. The dry look to Sept should continue, unless tropical moisture gets involved; at this time, nothing looks definite. But we are
