First Admission: Today’s system was much ado about nothing on my part. Yes, I was correct in there being a system to impact today, but it was hardly worth the effort. Very insignificant. But then again it wasn’t mostly sunny either.
Second Admission: There will not be two rainstorms coming our way next week. I jumped too soon on the second one. We have one Saturday afternoon into Sunday. Some details …
  1. Rain arrives Saturday afternoon and continues into early Sunday morning. It could be briefly heavy but nothing too serious (.5 – 1”).
  2. Sunday’s temperatures are tricky. Our rain cooled air will be stubborn to leave. Warm air will be surging north, but it will have a hard time removing all the cool air. We’ve seen this before.  We should rise to about 48 by late in the day but could go higher if the warm air does win out. This is not an easy call.
  3. Monday’s Temperatures: the stubborn cool air will finally let go and we should rise well into the 50s. But a cold front will begin to cool us off. The models are too fast in bringing in the cold air (normal error) so it will be a decent day on Monday.
  4. Wednesday: a strengthening upper level disturbance will be crossing our area or just south of us. This could lead to a period of light snow or snow showers. Nothing big.
  5. Weekend:  Strong signal for a significant storm sometime from Sat – Mon.  Details will come. But cold air will be around. Snow anyone?

Third Admission: I would love to see a few days of sunshine in a row. Wouldn't you?

Until then … enjoy.
