![]() In case you missed it ... the weather is VERY WARM! Temperatures are in the 60s. Balmy. With some rain last night, a few showers today and then more rain tonight before the "fun" begins. First, the warmth and rain is causing some ice jam flooding on rivers and streams throughout the state. Some ice jams are pretty large and serious. Praying for them to break up without too many major issues for people. Second, we have a mess to deal with later tonight and early tomorrow morning. It will start as rain, then as front moves through the temperatures will plunge from the 60s to near freezing within an hour or two. This will lead to freezing of water laying around, a little bit of freezing rain, but mostly the potential for a lot of sleet then finally some snow on top: Everything but the kitchen sink. Temperatures will continue to fall on Saturday, so the ice/sleet/snow on ground will not melt. It looks like a real mess. (What could change forecast? Cold front slows, all of moisture falls as rain. Or cold front accelerates, more moisture falls as sleet and snow.) Stay safe and enjoy.
