Spring arrives Tuesday, but winter is not letting go … yet.
We have a complex weather set-up coming for Tue and Wed. The first system will come through Tuesday. Due to temperatures being in the mid and upper 30s, the light snow that will fall will not amount to much. It will be a little like “white rain”. It snows, but melts. It starts like snow, but acts like rain on the ground. Then with new energy and a tilting of the upper level trough will result in a new storm developing along the coast. This storm could move close enough to the coast to bring us accumulating snow after midnight Tue and Wed morning. I expect to see some light snow, but heavier snow is possible. Once past Wednesday the weather turns nicer with clearing skies and sunshine for Thursday and Friday, however a new storm looks to move south of us for Saturday. And yes, this could bring some snow with it too. The weather looks to stay cool to cold with chances for cold rain and wet snow right through the early portion of April. Not the most pleasant if you are looking for warm spring weather, but we must remember it is still only March. Warm weather will come as it always does every year. Until then, enjoy.
