The much talked about heat is arriving this weekend. But in reality, its not unusual. Record highs for this weekend are near, at or above 100 degrees F. So, mid and upper 80's is not a big deal. Now, we are not used to it, therefore it will feel hot, but these wonderfully created bodies of ours (by God) are very adaptable, and we will adjust quickly.
What's going on?
A massive ridge is building in today. The showers this morning are part of a warm front surging through. Another shower or storm is possible this afternoon also. But the warm air takes over Sun - Tue. It will be hot, and increasingly humid as temperatures will reach near or just above 90 all three days.
Then the big high pressure in central Canada pushes SE into our area and cuts the heat off. This process begins Wed and establishes itself for Thu and into Fri. With the hot humid air to our west, there will be chances for rain Wed and Thu. Fri through Father's Day still look unsettled. Seasonal: warm and humid with chances for showers and thunderstorms.
Saturday: Mostly sunny. Warmer. Chance afternoon shower or storm.
Sunday: Sunny and hot.
Monday: Sunny and hot. More humid.
Tuesday: Sunny, hot and humid.
Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Humid. Chance for showers and storms.
Thursday: Partly sunny. Much cooler. Chance for a shower or storm.
Friday: Partly sunny to mostly cloudy. Chance for showers and storms. Warm and more humid.
