See updates (as of 8 am) below in red. ![]() One last chilly weekend, and then it becomes spring! But we have some light snow events to get through first. First Fluff: Well, this did not work out well. 2"? Yea, not even close. Not even close to fluffy either! Oh, boy, not good on my part. In slight defense, the precipitation shield split. Which was not forecast until around 8 pm last night. One piece of steady snow positioned itself in Ohio much of the night and the other to our SE in NJ and DE. This piece to our SE is outdoing itself. Lots of widespread 3-4" already this morning and still snowing nicely. But for us? Downward motion and mirco-flakes. Anyone for SPRING???? I am ready. Next Fluff: Weak system coming out of Canada will bring some light snow to us Sat night. Up to 1" looks possible. There will be an area of heavier snow with it, but a rather narrow band at that. This band or stripe of snow may be about 50 miles wide at the most. That is really narrow.. So where will it set up? It's anyone guess at this time. I do expect it to be to our SW. Besides our temperatures in the valleys may be to warm for it to really stick anyway, even if we get some snow. These are the last two snow events for at least the next week, perhaps until next winter! Time will tell. One things is certain: it will feel like spring most of next week. Get out and enjoy it. Clean up that yard. Go for a hike or bike ride. Please keep in mind regarding this warm weather for next week. Cold air will be close by in Canada. There is a chance some kind of front will try to drop S or SW out of SE Canada and cool us off Thu or Fri. This is called a backdoor cold front. They often cut short spring warm ups in the NE US. This is simply a word of caution that the forecast after next Wed could be warm or turning chilly again. Right now I favor warm but time will tell. Points for Next 7 Days:
Details: Friday: 37. Cloudy. Flurries ending by noon. Saturday: 40. Increasing clouds. Light snow overnight. Cold. Up to 1" Sunday: 42. Clearing skies. Chilly breeze. Monday: 51. Sun and clouds. Rain shower possible late. Warm up begins. Tuesday: 62. Sun and clouds. Becoming much warmer. Southerly winds. Wednesday: 70. Warm. Mostly sunny. Thursday: 66. Increasing clouds. Warm. Breezy.
