![]() Forecast looks on track. Rain storm coming. See radar to see that this is going to give is a nice soaking in my estimation. Based on nice curvature to radar, it appears to be staying closer to the coast. Could this mean greater cooling and some wet snow? Probably not. There will be some snow to our north. The best chance for a snow storm (4”+) that I see for our area is next Fri/Sat. But tonight’s storm is rain. A change to wet snow up north toward NY and New England. Especially in areas that saw snow yesterday morning. Several inches will accumulate in the mountains of NY and New England. But nice soaking of .50” to .75” here seems likely. Still keeping an eye on Sunday night. Large artic upper level low will be moving in. Expect some snow showers/period of light snow, maybe a snow squall, giving a widespread 1” by Monday morning. The southern energy just does not appear to have enough room to come north, but I am a little nervous as it would not take much to give us some steadier snow here. The big story over the next 7 days is the cold. Yes, starting Monday it will be cold: 20s all week. Mon and Tue may struggle to get into the 20s. It will be windy also. Some flurries around as well. My Weather Points for the Next 7 Days:
Friday: 42. Early sunshine, then increasing clouds. Rain develops after dark. Saturday: 37. Cloudy. Rain possibly, but unlikely, ending as wet snow. Sunday: 35. Cloudy. Snow showers developing after dark. Winds increasing late. Monday: 25. Any snow showers ending. Becoming mostly sunny. Windy. Cold. Tuesday: 24. Mostly sunny. Cold. Windy. Wednesday: 27. Clouds and sun. Maybe some light snow late and at night. Thursday: 30. Mix of sun and clouds. Flurries possible. Cold. Friday: 31. Cloudy with snow developing.
