Today through Friday will be absolutely beautiful. Sunshine, low humidity, and cool mornings. Highs will reach from 80 today to 84 Friday. Lows at night will dip into the 50's. Fantastic open window weather. Turn off that A/C!
As this ridge of high pressure controls our weather the ingredients for a more humid but also potentially very wet pattern develops. A ridge of high pressure develops to dominate the western US, as another develops over the central/western Atlantic Ocean. In between will be a significant trough. We will be on the eastern edge of this trough. A position that is the battle between the hot. humid air and the cool, dry air. The air flow will be from the deep south and even from the tropics. This leads to a moist flow day after day starting Saturday. Saturday will be the transition day. It will start off pleasant, but end up mostly cloudy. A few showers will be possible by the end of the day. Showers and storms will be likely each day from Sunday through most of next week. Any shower or storm will be capable of producing very heavy rain. Localized flash flooding will once again be a possibility. Until then enjoy these great days in the middle of summer.
