Great end to March, Not so great start to April.
In some ways it will seem like the calendar is moving backwards. The weather today through Fri will feel more like April, but the first week of April may feel more like March.
A nice ridge will build over the area and lead to nice mild weather Wed, Thu and into Fri. A slow moving cold front will move though on Fri. This front will bring decent soaking rain (See map to left).
A secondary powerful cold front will move through Sat, bringing a light shower or two with it (snow for northern New England). Much colder air will follow as a very cold air mass is going to be moving south out of Canada into the Northern Plains, Great Lakes and Northeastern states. It will impact us, but we will get a relative glancing blow.
A wave of low pressure will bring rain back into our area on Monday. It will bring snow to parts of the Great Lakes to New York and New England. Just rain for us. No snow here. Just a cold miserable rain. The rest of next week looks chilly with more unsettled weather.
