I think most folks would answer the White Christmas question with an obvious "yes." But not so fast. The pattern will bring in one 12-24 hour period of very mild weather with rain on Christmas Eve. Will there be any snow left? Will the rain change to snow for Christmas morning? This will be an interesting forecast as we get closer.
But first we have some minor things to go through. A few snow showers are possible Sunday (coating if you get one), Light snow/rain mix Monday night (coating - 2"), and then the warm-up on Christmas Eve. I give details on that system as we move closer. Right now plan on rain starting late in the day, some heavy. Sharp cold front moves through with windy conditions and temperatures dropping quickly behind the front. It could snow on the backside of the front is a wave of low pressure develops along it.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy. Chance for a snow shower or two. 37.
Monday: Partly sunny to mostly cloudy. Light snow/rain likely evening to overnight. 38.
Tuesday: Partly sunny. 39.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny. 36.
Thursday: Cloudy. Rain likely late. Mild. 50.
Friday: Cloudy. Windy. Cold. Chance snow early. 35 and dropping.
Saturday: Partly to mostly cloudy. Chance snow shower. 25.
