Update: Will need to update for midweek at things are slower moving than it seemed several days ago. So my updates will be in red below.
Well, a good week ended with a crash and burn on Sat (today). Thought the front would have pushed further south by now, but it obviously did not, thus the rainy skies. Major bust there. We may salvage the afternoon however. This was a cool week, with a humid Thursday, which brought some rain as expected, but not as much as I thought it could. I would rate this past week as a B+ mainly due to Sat's really big time miss.
This week will continue our cooler than normal regime. Making it our third week of such weather. A major out of season trough is set up and locked in for the time being in Eastern Canada and keeps sending some cool refreshing air our way. If you don't like heat and humidity this is the pattern for you. At times, the ridge over SW will push NE and we will be near the battle zone, making strong chances for rain, at times heavy.
Sunday: Sunny. Cool for August, with a nice breeze. Afternoon temps near 77. Nighttime temps down near 50.
Monday: Sunday: Sunny. Still cool. Afternoon temps near 76. Nighttime temps down near 50.
Tuesday: A little warmer with some clouds late. Maybe a late shower. A little more humid. Afternoon temps near 80 with nighttime temps warmer near 60.
Wednesday: Rather cloudy and wet. A peak or two of sun may appear. Showers and thunderstorms are likely. Some heavy rain possible. Humid. Afternoon temps near 81. Nighttime temps near 65. Well, that high won't come about, too socked in with the low clouds. Some showers are possible after midnight, but thunder may be hard to come by due to the low clouds around this part of PA.
Thursday: Clearing. maybe a shower still around, but mainly dry. Afternoon temps near 80. Nighttime temps near 58. Update: Clouds and sun, warm and humid again along with showers and thunderstorms. Again, slower frontal movement due to additional wave on front coming through on Friday. High: 85, Low 70.
Friday: Sunny. Cool once again for August, with a nice breeze. Puffy afternoon clouds. Afternoon temps near 76. Nighttime temps down near 52.Again another big change: Clouds and sun, still humid, but a little cooler. Showers and storms are likely as second wave moves through. High: 80. Low 65.
Saturday: Mostly sunny. again cool for August. Afternoon temps near 78. Nighttime temps down near 52.
