What a week of vacation! Beautiful and wonderful in the world of weather! For VA and TN the temperatures for camping were ideal. Got down to the low 60s at night and only low 80s during the day. Not bad for the end of July!
This past week did not cool off as much as first expected. It was very humid until the rains came and washed it all away. Then the forecast got to be pretty good. Although not cool enough at night, even with my update. I'd give it a B over all.
Well, the heat is gone, the cooler weather is here to stay for the most part. For all appearances this may be quite an amazing month setting up for us. Certainly not hot. If you like the heat, I am sorry it looks cool. But if you like cooler, windows open at night kind of weather ... celebrate for the overall view is looking pretty nice for the next couple of weeks at least.
Now I did allude to the idea that the heat will return. It will try, but the strength of the trough will be enough to keep it at bay. there will be bursts of warmth and humidity for a day or two bringing rain chances, but it will be shoved out repeatedly.
