Weather thru November 10 ... updated Tue

Good Tuesday evening!

Some minor updates for us today. The big cold high to our NW and moving east is further north than first expected, so we are a little warmer than first thought and Saturday a second burst of upper energy will help develop an area of showers for us as the main push of colder air enters the region Sat night. So the update is as follows:

Wed: Partly sunny. High: 60. Low: 54. Some showers are possible late at night.

Thu: Partly sunny. Stray shower. Becoming windy. Milder. High: 65. Low: 61. Showers coming in late toward Friday morning.

Fri: windy, mild with showers and possible thunder. Some heavy rain possible. High: 67. Low. 55.

Sat: Windy, with increasing clouds and a some showers after midday. Still mild., turning colder during the night. High:61. Low: 45.

Good Saturday Afternoon!

A nice and windy day today. Certainly feels like fall today. With Halloween this week, it would seem natural to have a chill in the air.  This week has been much colder, esp. since Wed. Forecast wise it was not a bad week at all. I was too wet for Wed. The light rain was to our west and to our south and east. System was too weak to throw moisture our way, the idea had merit though. I was also too cold Thu night. More clouds than expected. But I was right on for the highs for Wed - Sat and was right on for the freeze that ended all growing Sat morning. So not bad. Grade: B+ overall.

Outlook:

Another cool week is ahead. But not as cool as this past week.  the first strong fall storm should develop mid week giving us a good rain Wed-Thu time frame. Cooler weather behind it again for the weekend. All in all not too bad.

Some very cold air will invade very northern Rockies and northern plains giving them some snow. This cold air will pass by to our north and get out of the picture. More chilly weather will arrive this next weekend, but it will not be as cold as were these last few days.  Over the next month the coldest air should remain out west, but pay us glancing blows as it passes east. I fully expect Nov to be wet and more stormy than Oct. By the end of the month I expect us to get our first accumulating snow.  Winter I expect will be colder and snowier than normal. But I think it will end in March, not carry on like some years. It is hard to tell, but warm water in the central pacific, vast snow cover in Siberia already this fall, more extensive ice in the polar regions and the pattern for Oct all leans towards a stormy, snowy and colder than normal winter.

Details:

Sunday: Mostly sunny, windy again. Cool. High of 55. Low 35.

Monday: Mostly sunny, less wind. Cool. High 54. Low 29.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Light wind. cool yet. High 52. Low 28.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, light wind. Increasing clouds late at night with the approach of a warm front. High 55. Low. 40.

Thursday: Partly sunny, with thickening clouds in the morning. A shower or two possible late. Cool. High 54. Low. 51. Temps may rise toward Friday morning.

Friday: Windy, showers and a thunderstorm. Some heavy downpours possible. Much milder. High 65. Low 52.

Saturday: Windy, mostly sunny. Growing colder. High 58. Low 33.

Weekending Sunday November 10:

A cool start, but as another storm develops to the west, it will grow milder again. Expect a similar type of week with midweek storm and rain, but it the warmth should be greater, and the chill less chilly.
