Wednesdays Weather: Midwest storm comes for a visit.
The outlook for this next week is one that has some really tough calls in it. So here it goes with my best understanding for the next week and a peek into the week beyond ...

  1. High pressure will give us a great start to the work week, but it won't last.
  2. The storm that plagued the Midwest with record snows (up to 18") is crawling along at a snails pace. It will impact our weather starting Tue and last into Thu.
  3. After this slow poke of a storm leaves ... very mild/warm weather will be present for a couple of days.
  4. Mother's Day may not be the most beautiful of days. As a new boundary and moisture move into the area, ushering the beginning a wetter, cooler pattern for the following week.

Details:

  1. Mon - mostly sunny and seasonal. Right where we ought to be near 70 degrees.
  2. Tue - Mostly cloudy, likely becoming damp with some showers/rain by late in the day, cooler.Highs around 65.
  3. Wed - This is the tough day. If the sun breaks out it could get go above 70. If we have lots of thick clouds and showers, it could be a lot like last Mon with temps only near 60. I am going with lower 60s and showers; some could be on the heavy side as well.
  4. Thu - Clouds and some sun. Showers and maybe a thunderstorm could pop up in the afternoon. Temps in the upper 60s.
  5. Fri - warm with mostly sunny skies. Temps running to lower 80s
  6. Sat - Warm with mostly sunny skies to start. Clouds may increase in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 70s (or higher if clouds hold off long enough).
  7. Sun - Sorry Mom but the day looks unsettled. Cloudy with some rain, possible heavier shower/thunderstorm as well. Highs in the low 60s.
  8. The outlook for the next week through the 18th is cooler with a wet start to the week, followed by a nice and seasonally cool midweek into the weekend. I see no frosts/freezes, heat waves, floods or severe weather coming our way. Enjoy!

Although forceasting the weather is an imperfect science, it is a pleasure to follow what the Creator has made.
