Warm and dry through the weekend for 95% of us. A slight chance of a shower, mainly to our NE in the Poconos. It will be summer-like with temps into the lower 80s todays and Sat and then mid 80s Sun and Monday. Perhaps some rain later Mon and Tue. But even that is not looking to robust at this time. Turning cooler and staying dry the rest of next week ...
This coming week will be the warmest week we have had since last summer. It might even feel a bit like summer with some storms on Tue and then again next weekend. The week will also be dry with Tue and next weekend being the best chances for rain.
Speaking of rain. April and May rainfall are often indicative of the summer. A wet April/May seems to correlate with a moist summer. But a dry April/May correlates with a drier summer. So far we are pretty normal with the rainfall, but 2” came in one rainstorm. Outside of that storm, rainfall has not been real robust so far. Not sure how May will turn out, but pattern has looked wet, but so far it is not producing a lot of wetness. I am growing concerned for a drier than normal summer this year.
