For Tuesday (tomorrow): Most looks great except for the temperatures. They will have to be boosted up, however, I am leery about boosting them too high. There may be many clouds around, some showers and storms in the early morning, and then more in the afternoon. Clouds will keep the temperatures cooler, yet, enough sunshine and the temperatures will jump well into the 80s. So, the dilemma is how warm will it be?
Also, please do not fall for the hype of the heat. Our average high this time of year is 84-86 degrees. Keep that in mind. This week will be very typical summer-time weather for central Pennsylvania.
Wednesday looks pretty much typical summer: warm and humid (tad less than Tue though) with a chance for a late shower or thunderstorm.
Thursday presents another temperature challenge for us. With a warm front lifting north and low pressure passing to our north, the temperatures ought to rocket into the 90s, but with clusters of thunderstorms roaming around, and global models being unreliable in predicting the path of these storm cluster (usually predicted too far NE and the storms end up more SW), I am concerned about some early thunderstorms, and clouds cutting the temperatures down and additional storms developing too quickly.
Friday could end up quite wet as a boundary looks to be sitting near us or right on top of us with lots of moisture available. This day will still be humid, but with the clouds, temperatures will be lower.
Saturday and Sunday looks pretty good with lowering humidity and comfortable temperatures.
This pattern of heat trying to make inroads looks to continue next week also, with a surge or warmth pushing in for Tue – Thu but then by the weekend I fully expect another push of cooler air for the 22nd and 23rd. This is NOT based on any models, just pattern recognition.
Tuesday: Sun and clouds. Showers and thunderstorms. Warm and humid.
Wednesday: Partly to mostly sunny. Chance for a shower or thunderstorm.
Thursday: Partly to mostly sunny. Showers and thunderstorms likely with very heavy rain. Very warm and humid. Friday: Mostly cloudy to partly sunny. Showers and thunderstorms likely. Humid.
Saturday: Lowering humidity. Becoming mostly sunny. Breezy at times.
Sunday: Mostly sunny. Lower humidity. Chance for a shower or a thunderstorm. Breeze at times.
Monday: Mostly sunny. Pleasantly warm. Increasing humidity.
