Faithful Forecast

A Forecast for Southern Schuylkill and Northern Lebanon County

Thursday Morning Relief!

Great news. This long, hot, dry 3 weeks of weather ended Wednesday. Yeah! We do have some changes to make as an interesting weekend will be unfolding. Could be quite a bit of rain as this trough will dig south more than originally though. Part of this is due to the energy that got entrained from one of those Mid Pacific hurricanes from late last week. This energy will help bring us a good soaking this weekend it looks like.

Here are some points I considered:

1.      Humidity: Still very humid into today, but temps much cooler so not a big deal.

2.    Rain: Weak wave will form on the front Today giving us more clouds and rain, thus lower temps and no severe weather. Actually to break our dry spell, you could not ask for a much better set up. Some downpours, but also a showery rain on and off throughout the day.

3.     Weekend: Big trough. Weak storm to form in lee of VA mountains leading to more rain to arrive Sat evening and into Sunday. Much cooler weather, esp. Sunday.

4.     Warm Up: As this weekend low moves through Sunday it will take the trough with it, and behind it a ridge will build in Monday. So the pattern flips right back to a ridge, but a cooler version than what we just went through the last 10 days.

Thursday: 73. Mostly cloudy.  Showery rain on and off. A thunderstorm is also likely.

Friday: 77. Partly to mostly sunny. Pleasant.

Saturday: 77. Sun with increasing clouds. Showers/rain arriving very late.

Sunday: 68. Mostly cloudy. Rain/showers early. Breezy and fall-like.

Monday: 74. Mostly sunny. Pleasantly on the cool side.

Tuesday: 79. Mostly sunny. Warmer.

Wednesday: 82. Mostly sunny. Warm

Although forceasting the weather is an imperfect science, it is a pleasure to follow what the Creator has made.
