Rain came as expected today. And now we have a nice Thursday to enjoy with sunshine and mild temperatures. However, a new rain system in the Central Plains will come our way for Friday. It will be rather rainy with most of the rain from 9 am to 3 pm. Some drizzle and showers will linger later in the day.
This of course is a change from earlier. I wondered if two pieces of energy might work together to form a larger slow moving storm ... but no. Instead we get two shots of rain. One Friday, and another Saturday. Friday's will likely bring the most rain, but Saturday's will be increasing as it moves SE from Canada, so it could surprise in someone's backyard.
Behind this system is a shot of chilly to cold air. It will bring a rather cool and blustery day to us on Sunday. Highs will struggle to reach above 50 with clouds and sunshine.
Then it is all good news ... a warm up! 60's with sunshine on Monday, 70's on Tuesday, and 80 or above on Wed and Thu. Sounds good huh? I can see the trees just bursting forth with leaves/blossoms very rapidly next week, making up for lost time (about 2 weeks behind schedule according to NOAA).
