Back to the weather: Some rain tonight into early tomorrow morning, then cloudy the rest of the day. Some of the showers/storms could be heavy. Locally someone could get 1”+ of rain. Anyhow you slice it, the potential looks good for at least a moderate soaking (.5” or more for most). Additional heavy rain should stay to our west/southwest during the afternoon and early overnight hours of Thu. Some areas in the Allegheny Mountains of
western PA could see several inches of rain. Not here though.
Rest of forecast looks good with warm up into next Tues followed by a cold front that cools us off, but for how long? That is the question.
Points for Next 7 Days:
- Overnight Rain, Decent Day: Thursday. It will be cooler and cloudier with most if not all of the rain will come tonight (Wed night) and maybe some very late Thu into the early overnight hours. Thus giving us a decent, but cooler Thu and then Fri it looks to clear out.
- Off Shore Slow Mover: A cut off low should develop near NC/SC coastline and then drift NE. This should keep us in the comfy temperatures, yet lots of sunshine with a breeze at times.
- Surge of Heat: A chunk of the central states heat will surge NE Monday and Tuesday giving us a bit of summer weather, however …
- Heat Cut Off (Temporarily): A strong cold front will slice up the heat in our area on Tuesday with showers and storms a strong bet. The heat then shifts into the Western US before making another attempt at come east.
