Autumn is in the air!
Starting Saturday that will be the feeling for about 4 days. Seasonally chilly weather will make a dent into our very warm start to the month, but after this spell of chill, it looks to warm up again as we head into the latter part of the month. But first things first ...
Cold front progressing through our area tomorrow will try to bring some showers/storms with it for our area. Like last time, some will be heavy, but not everyone will get a big storm. Last Sat we got a big storm here, but very little to our south. It could be a repeat for us, or a switch where we get little. The problem is that the winds behind (westerly) and in front (west-southwesterly) of the cold front provide little convergence (think of two cars on a highway that sideswipe each other versus a head on collision. Tomorrow and last Sat is more like sideswipe) in our area.
The really chilly stuff will invade on Saturday, with the help of an upper level low. This low is weak, but it could spark a few scattered showers. It is unclean how much moisture could move north at this time, so it could produce more than I am currently thinking. This is of course a change from earlier when it looked dry.
Wed Night: humid and cloudy. Low 65.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy to partly sunny into the early afternoon. Warm and humid. High 82 (higher with more sunshine). Showers and a thunderstorm are likely to cross the area in the late afternoon.
