Very quick post this morning. We have one more day of heat and very humid weather. Thankfully the heat has NOT been as bad as the headlines have been. Yes, it is hot. But Excessive Heat Warning Criteria (3 hours of heat index 105 or higher) is just barely being met in most locations. Heat advisories might have been better over-all as temps have fallen short of projected highs. So far of Philly, NYC and DC where 3 days of 100 degree highs was proclaimed a few days ago ... so far they have had none. Maybe today? Doubt it. But we'll see.
Anyway, the hottest, most uncomfortable day is liable to be today. Our dew points are higher this morning, and there will be few if any left over clouds from overnight storms to our NW, like yesterday. I have today as the hottest. Still believe it will be. An Excessive Heat Warning for today is a good call. Criteria probably met for several hours in most places (urban and country).
Heavy rain showers and storms begin tonight and last on and off through Mon night. Flash flooding will be a threat, esp areas to our SE (as has been the case lately.)
Gorgeous weather coming Tue - Fri.
Have a great Lord's Day today.
