Thursday Noon:
(from Wed: As this is a new blog, some adjustments will occur as we settle in to “the routine.” It is obvious to me that I do not have the time to commit to giving full 7 day forecasts with highs and lows every day, plus making daily adjustments. What I will do is give the next 24-36 hours and highlight things in the future that are being ignored or underplayed in most public forecasts.) Next 24-36 hours: Enjoy the sunshine! Lots of sun today but staying cool with that breeze coming out of the NNW. Cool tonight, some clouds around esp. later. Lows around 40. Friday looks good, with some clouds mixing with the sunshine. It will turn colder late as a strong front pushes through. This will bring the coldest night of the season and likely bring an end to the growing season unless you cover your plants. Sat morning should start cold and frosty with temps in the upper 20s but warming nicely under the October sun. Things to Look Out for: 1. Saturday morning will be the coldest morning of the next 10 days at least. 2. Between Sun and Wed … things could get rather cloudy, damp, and as a storm may try to develop off the NJ coast. This is not, however, etched in stone. 3. Indian summer like weather still looks on board. Strong southerly flow should bump temps to at least 70 Wed and Thu of next week. 4. Big rain maker possible late next week, bringing a widespread 1-2” rain. Until Tomorrow.
