It will develop into a rather pleasantly warm weekend. That may not seem too likely as the rain showers/storms with heavy downpours are on-going this afternoon, but Sat and Sun should be nice weather days.
I was away for 4 days, so the forecast couldn't be updated for today. And it needed to be to include heavy rain. The radar shows that the heavy rain showers/storms will continue on/off for the next few to several hours. I would expect most will get 1" of rain with up to 3" in spots.
We dry out Sat and Sun with some humidity. But nothing outrageous. Monday should begin to heat up with a bit more humidity. Showers/storms re-enter the forecast on Tue and Wed. It appears that the potential for showers last through Friday.
We are much wetter right now, and I think will be through next week, but then it looks to heat up, stay warm and be much drier for the second half of August. I guess we shall find out. It is nice to the see the brown grass patches in my yard begin to green up again.
Rest of today: Showers/storms with heavy downpours.
Saturday: Clearing. Partly to mostly sunny. 84.
Sunday: Sunny. 87.
Monday: Sunny. More humid. 91.
Tuesday: Sun then clouds. Chance for a shower/storm. 91.
Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Showers/storms likely. 88.
Thursday: Sun and clouds. Chance for showers/storms. 84.
Friday: Sun and clouds. Chance for showers/storms. 84.
