![]() We are entering a new month now: June, the first of the summer months. Going into the summer we are in great shape. We are moist and so sign of any drought anywhere remotely close to us or to be even developing. The growing season is looking really good this year. Also, the pattern we are in is one where cool air will continue to keep the heat at bay at least through the month of June. Outlook for Month: Temperatures normal to slightly above; and precipitation should be above normal. Outlook for the First Week of June: Sunday and Monday will be great to beautiful days with lots of sunshine. Clouds will increase late Monday as a storm system heads through southern Canada. Monday Night – Tuesday will be a wet period with showers and thunderstorms likely. Some could be on the severe side late Tuesday. Wednesday – as a frontal boundary is nearby, this could be a rather hot and humid day esp. if the front stays to our north. Thursday: a wave may move along the slow moving front, and it moves east over our area. This could bring some heavy showers/storms. The timing of this feature is a little uncertain at this time as it could come Wed night. Friday- Sunday: Clearing with a chance of a shower Friday but then great over the weekend once again. For the following week, we need to keep an eye on a tropical system that is forecasted to develop and move north. This could bring some tropical rains to regions east of the Mississippi River. There is model support and it would fit the pattern and the current and predicted MJO phases. Daily Details: Sunday - Monday: Sunny. Beautiful.
