I am updating the forecast to highlight and clarify the snow chances on Mon night – Tuesday and then Thursday night – Friday.
First Monday Night/Tuesday:
- Upper level energy driven as low pressure stays well off the east coast. This will produce light snow and light accumulations of a coating to 2”. Not a big deal but could make Tue morning a little slippery.
Second, Thursday Night/Friday:
- Arctic front moving southeast slows as an area of low pressure moves along it. This will enhance moisture and bring us some light to moderate snow. It could start out as rain Thursday night, but will end as snow Friday morning.
- Potential is there for a few to several inches.
Big Deal of this forecast: Sustained winter cold weather will return starting Friday. Much colder next weekend.
