Now this has been an Indian Summer! Very warm and unseasonable. Records were set in numerous places yesterday and especially today. WOW! But it is coming to an end. Tomorrow will still be warm and humid. Friday cooler, but humid as the front/storm approaches with some rain moving in. I would expect about .50” of rain, with much more to our west. Most of the rain should be from 12 pm Fri to 12 am Sat. There may be a rumble of thunder and some heavy rain showers, but the heaviest rain will be west of the mountains. The further east you live in the state, the less rain you will receive. The disturbed area of weather that was thought to become Otto, still might develop, but it looks to get entrained in the trough in time to New England. They could use a soaking rain. So, Thursday has a slight chance of a shower. Friday looks wet. Saturday and Sunday look windy and chilly. Blustery might be good word to describe this weekend. And then a chance for showers appears again Monday before dry and seasonal weather returns. Now Monday is tricky. A very weak system will be moving toward out area. If it is to our north, our temps jump back into the 60's. If it tracks over us, then we stay in the low 50's with showers. Right now, the more southerly route looks best, but I am wary because of that persistent ridge. I hope you enjoyed the 80's, since this is it for this 2016 for summer-like 80 degree temps. A big change this weekend, and perhaps even bigger changes the second half of November as we get closer to cold weather and dare I say it? Snow? Not yet. But it is coming. Until then enjoy the late summer and then more fall-like weather.
