Getting Used to the Cold Yet?

I certainly hope you are, since it will stay very cold through the first weekend in January 2018!  This is a long stretch of bitter cold, especially when one considers that this is still December, not mid or late January, which is usually our coldest time of the year.  Some moderation looks to occur after next weekend (Jan 6-7) but for how long?  That is a BIG question and something to figure out later. 

Highlights for now include:

1. Today's fluffy snow, 2-3".  Pretty and very light. 
2. More arctic cold Sun - Mon. 
3. Slight moderation Wed. 
4. Snow chances increase with storm centered on Thursday. 
5. Bitter cold air and wind Friday into Saturday. 

I would say enjoy ... the warmth of a fire in the fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate surrounded by family/friends.
