I said this earlier on Tue: "Thursday: another front moves through. There should be some showers with it. Not heavy, but showers will be present."
Well there are many showers associated with this front right now (radar image from 12:03 pm).
It is the best looking radar image for rain in a few weeks. Some of the showers will be briefly heavy. But don't expect a lot of rain. We do need it, so it is good.
Full update Friday.
The dry pattern is peaking today: Hot and humid. Highs well into the 80's but the chance is there for a shower or a storm as the front moves on through late.
We have a nice tan to brown hue developing over the landscape as the grass begins to dry out for more and more lawns, fields, etc. But there are 3 chances for rain this week. Neither is particularly great, but the chances are there.
Today: a shower or storm is possible later this afternoon/evening. Some of us will stay dry others may be blessed with a few sprinkles, other a heavier shower or even a heavy thunderstorm.
Thursday: another front moves through. There should be some showers with it. Not heavy, but showers will be present.
Saturday: A stronger system comes through with perhaps the best shot at some widespread showers. Not a soaking rain, but some decent showers. Not positive yet. But feel this could be the best chance for rain we've had for some time.
Stay cool. Enjoy. Tomorrow is much cooler. More like autumn.
