That is right. Tonight expect lows below zero (-5 to -10 approx) but 5 days later (Tue) it may be 60 degrees warmer!  A temporary warm up, but definitely a warm up. Enjoy it.

Some comments on the forecast:

Friday:: Light snow develops around late morning/midday on Fri. It should last until early evening. The heaviest snow stays south of us, although this will be a fluffy snow due to the cold air, thus 1/10th of an inch of moisture can give us 2". So a couple of inches is very possible.

Sun Night:  A slight chance exits for a touch of freezing drizzle/rain as the warm front moves through Sun evening/night. Again, I doubt there will be anything, but a coating can be a big problem, so I will mention the possibility.

Monday: Showers on Monday into Monday night.

Challenges:
  1. Does Friday's system come a little further north and give us more snow?  I originally thought it would. Of course, hardly any model had the snow to begin with, but now it looks like I was a little too far north. Still a 1/10th increase in moisture is possible, but unlikely.
  2. Cold Air Return Tue Night? Does the cold air return Tue night and set us up for some ice and a cold rain on Wed? I think it could. But some models say no it will be warm again on Wed. and then the cold returns for Thu. Not a big deal except for the potential for some ice.

Enjoy and stay warm.
