The big storm was one to keep an eye on, and as I thought, it was not suppressed to our south. It did snow up to 2” near Lancaster and 1” in Reading. So, the snow wasn’t too far away. But, it stayed away as expected, however, one did need to keep an eye on it. Now it’s just COLD.
Sunday/Monday: Cold with sun and clouds. Some flurries for Sunday. Strong winds Sunday also.
Tuesday: POTPOURRI WEATHER! A little bit of everything! Snow to ice to rain. How "normal" for this winter. Cold and raw. Wondering if snowpack to our south and east will keep colder air in a little longer since winds will be from the SE over the snow cover.
Wednesday: Rain. Mild.
Thursday: Nice. Sun and mild temperatures.
Friday/Saturday: Big question: Major battle between massive arctic High pressure over Plains and strong warm Southeast Ridge. If arctic front passes south of us Friday, then rain and ice could be an issue. But if front stays north then it is very warm Friday with temperatures in the 50s. Strong arctic front would then move through on Saturday with some rain. I favor holding the ridge through Friday. It has been a presence most of this winter, so why would it collapse now?
