Winter is now done until say December. Spring is now taking control this week and will do so until summer takes over. A ridge of high pressure will begin to dominate this week starting Wed and lasting through the upcoming weekend. This will bring warming temperatures and beautiful sunny skies.
As this happens here unsettled weather will dominate portions of the interior west and into the central plains. Spring rains and snow is always good news for those areas. For the rain tonight into Tues, the anticipated soaking rain will not be too soaking. A wave of low pressure will form along front enhancing the precipitation in front of it, but behind it, you get sinking air, and that dries up our precipitation. The front moves through early tomorrow morning right when the sinking air is at its peak. This means showers, and no real soaking rain. Summary: right forecast, bad timing. Western PA will get a good soaking, and so will New England. But us? Not so much. Highlight Battle: From the tropical tidbits sight, look at the nearly 20 degree forecast difference for 2 pm today between these 2 models. WOW! It is really sad that a less than 12 hour forecast can be so different. Beyond that, there is not a whole lot else to talk about. So we shall move on. Points for Next 7 Days:
Details: Monday: 52. Temps steady to slowly rising overnight. Mostly cloudy. Couple showers. Breezy late. Tuesday: 60. Mostly cloudy. Showers ending in the morning. Wednesday: 53. Sun and clouds. Breezy. Thursday: 57. Sun and clouds. Pleasant. Friday: 61. Sunny. Nice and beautiful. Saturday: 66. Sun and clouds. Warmer. Sunday: 72. Sun and clouds. Warm.
