Sunshine and heat will last through Saturday, then cooler Sun and Mon before warming up Tue and Wed. The cooler weather is relative; it will cool off to what is considered average. Nothing cold in sight. Summer rolls on, as expected with the ridge being dominant.
But what about liquid sunshine? We do need some.
Well, rain chances are limited, but it’s not all bad. A few areas will get some rain today into Friday and then again Saturday night. Any thunderstorm could be quite heavy; another theme of the summer continues. When it rains it dumps a lot.
I am more hopeful for a better chance of rain Sat night now. Part of that reason will be the remnants of Hurricane Newton off the SE Pacific that is impacting Arizona and New Mexico today and tonight. This moisture will flow E-NE and may help increase our rain chances Sat night.
Other than that, it’s a dying front Thu, stronger front Sat bringing cooler air, but a warm up begins quickly as ridge rebounds almost immediately behind Sat’s front.
