![]() Yes, that is correct: A beautiful weather alert is in effect. There are alerts, warnings, advisories, and watches that go in effect but they are all for potentially bad events, how about an alert for great events? So I am issuing a beautiful weather alert for next Mon - Thu. How do temperatures in the 70s to near 80 for highs and temps in the upper 50s to near 60 for lows with lots of sunshine and a few puffy clouds sound? Beautiful. Exactly. Leading up to then it will be humid, very warm and strong chance for heavy showers/storms to arrive on Sunday into very early Mon morning. The system coming for Sunday is the first indication of a cooling trough developing in the central US. This combining with the western Atlantic ridge will give us increasing opportunities for more widespread rains. I would not be surprised to see us have a wet to very wet fall this year, based on what I am seeing at this time. Summer Forecast Early Review: Warmer than average and drier than average was my forecast. If you remove that last week in July (3-6" rain for many area wide) then it would be a perfect call. This will be warm summer. There is no denying that, as we are nearly 3 degrees above average for the summer. Precipitation, even with that big rain week, is right near average from June - Mid August for most. Weather Points:
