Quick update today, as there is a lot going on ... tomorrow is Easter. The most wonderful day in the history of the world since it was created. Jesus died for the sin of the world and rose from the dead defeated sin and death so you and I could have life ... eternal life.

That is Easter or Resurrection Sunday.

Today is a beautiful day to prepare for it. Tomorrow will be decent. A shower or two early then clearing. Cooler, but decent. Then winter returns.

Yes, SNOW.

Several inches of are quite possible. (I can tell you are overjoyed.)

And yes, I missed it from a couple of days ago. I thought there would be weak system, but it would pass well to our south, giving a few clouds, but nothing more ... well, that is not the case. It is much bigger and it will bring a good April snowfall to us ... no joking either!

Sunday night, a wave of low pressure moves along the cold front that stalls to our south in an east west fashion. The low will pass through VA and MD in its trek east. This will bring a slug of moisture that will fall as snow in PA.
  1. Good news: Quick moving system. Will only snow for about 6 hours.
  2. Bad news: it could snow quite heavily when it does snow.

The snow should start after midnight Monday and end by 9 am Monday.  The snow on any roads will melt off quickly as the clouds clear and the sun returns by afternoon. Total snow will be 3-5" with locally more possible, esp. on any ridges.

After this quick system a larger storm will organize and bring us rain for Tue and Wed. It could get nice and warm Wed IF WE GET ANY SUNSHINE. Not sure if we will, but if so we could surge into the 60's, but if not it will get into the 50's.  Much colder after this storm. Chance for rain and snow by next weekend again.

Do not fret ... winter weather will soon be gone ...

Until then, enjoy.
