Back from Vacation ... Same Pattern Still

Vacation was wonderful!  Maine was and is beautiful.  The water is very refreshing (Very cold is more like it!). And Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and New York were also great. The black plague of mosquitoes in NY was horrible, but other than that ... it was great, but it is good to be home.

In looking back the 7 day and extra 3 day outlook from way back was pretty solid. Not bad at all. But time marches on ... so here we go into the middle of July, the hottest time of the year. Yes, our average temps rise into the mid 80s every day. So don't let people fool you into thinking that 86 makes for one really hot day!  It is average. We should be near 86 every day. Nothing unusual at all. And this next week will be a good sample of what a typical summer week should be like: warmth, humidity, sunshine and storms.

Pleasantly warm weather will build this weekend into early next week. But then the very humid weather with showers and heavy storms will commence once again. Then another break Thu – Sat before more humidity and wetness returns for the second half of next weekend.

Over-all a classic summer week coming up with typical to above average rainfall once again.

So far the summer is wet (no-brainer there), and a tad on the warm side. I believe we have gone through our coolest stretch for this month, and we are only about 1-1.5 degrees below average, and with a warm ending to the month coming, that departure from average should disappear. I expect July to end up at least average, but more likely a degree or so above. Time will tell. Also, it should stay moist, although, I expect it to not be sooo wet. More typical summer rains. Not the excessive ones.

Back to this coming week …

Questions for Forecast:
1.      Will clouds hinder the sunshine on Monday morning, or will they hold off until late in the day?
2.      Will the showers and storms move out of the area fast enough to give us a nice Wednesday?
3.      How much heat and humidity will invade our area next Fri and Sat?  Could we hit 90?
4.      Will the showers and storms hold off until Sat night and Sun? (VBS is Sat!)

Specifics:

Monday: 87. At least partly sunny. Warm. Showers/storms possible at night.

Tuesday: 84. Showers and storms are likely. Heavy downpours. Very humid.

Wednesday: 83. Sun and clouds. Shower or storm is possible.

Thursday: 80. Mostly sunny. Pleasant. Less humid.

Friday: 87. Sunny. Warm. Becoming more humid.

Saturday: 91. Mostly sunny. Hot. Humid. Scattered showers/storms possible very late.

Sunday: 88. Partly sunny. Showers and storms likely.
