That line of showers/storms in the Midwest indicates where a weak cool front is located. This front will slink southward through our area but washout to our south. Meaning that we will cool off on Thu but begin warming up on Friday as this cooler air has no staying power at all.
(This front I did not originally think it would come far enough south to impact us, but it is so a one day cool down and then its on to warm over the weekend through Labor Day.
I mentioned that the front for Friday might be slow in coming, well its even slower. It may try to come through late in the weekend, but I am not sure it will even make it at all. In fact, the returning ridge and surge of warmth will win out for almost all of next week. Yes, this warm pattern in taking hold for now.
Wed: hot, more humid and a slight chance for a thunderstorm in the late afternoon/evening. High: 87, low: 65.
Thu: cooler, but sunny. High: 80. Low: 55.
Fri - Sat: Warmer with lots of sun. High: 82, low 58 Friday and into the mid 80s for Saturday.
Sun- Labor Day: Very warm to hot. Highs in the upper 80s with lots of sunshine. Slight chance of a thunderstorm on both days. Don't cancel any plans.
Warm and dry should prevail for the next 10-14 days.
