Forecast from Tue/Wed is in great shape though this weekend: Sunshine with highs a couple degrees either side of 80 and lows at night/early morning near 60. Almost like September weather. And speaking of early fall, this really cool picture from this morning shows exactly where river valley fog is located. Follow the white lines and that is where the rivers are located. This typically happens in the fall, not the summer.

Outlook for Early Next Week: Big changes are going to be occurring the second half of this month and that means one more big shot of cool early fall like air then we start to warm and stay warm as the pattern evolves and changes.
  1. Big sharp trough will dig into our area and cause and area of low pressure to deepen in our region. a secondary system will develop along the coast. This will result in a good soaking rain (1-2" probably) for our area.
  2. Rains will start late Tue and go into early Wed. Wednesday/Thursday will be cool and blustery with highs in the low 70s, and may struggle to get even that high, depending on the amount of clouds. Nights will be near 60.
  3. As this trough deepens and cuts its self off from main flow, the ridge out in the SW  USA, is flattened, and a trough tries to develop there. This is the change that I expect to occur and have been alluding too. The second half of this month we should get more ridging and warmth, while they cool off and get some rain in the NW region of the USA. (See below for pics as an example of what I am picturing. They are not an exact forecast, just an example of what I am foreseeing.)

Although forceasting the weather is an imperfect science, it is a pleasure to follow what the Creator has made.
