Faithful Forecast

A Forecast for Southern Schuylkill and Northern Lebanon County

April 28th, 2021

Our summer preview is being hindered by some pesky clouds this morning. Those clouds should filter away and more sunshine breaks through. Temps should into the lower 80s for many.

The chances for showers/storms today is minimal at best. I doubt it so I won't include it.

Overnight an area of showers/storms may develop and try to move east into our area by morning. Some showers look likely, but how much is questionable. Often they weaken as they come east or totally fall apart and just bring some clouds. The sun should also come out after the early morning showers and showers/storms are again likely in the late afternoon/evening. Some could be strong, esp. to our west.

Friday still has a linger shower in the morning as front moves through. Friday night showers are again possible as a reinforcing push of cold air surges south. This cold will last for a day, then milder again for Sunday.

Sunday is interesting, as a warm front looks to lift north. How far north?  Will it bring showers to our area or stay to our NE?  When do the skies clear, if they clear?  The answers will make the difference between a wet cool start with temps rising to the low 60s or a mostly sunny day with a gusty wind and temps rising into the low 70's.  I'm leaning toward the warmer scenario right now.

Details.

Wednesday: Becoming partly sunny and warm. 82.
Thursday: Showers likely early. Partly sunny. Showers/storms likely after 5 pm. 77.
Friday: Chance for a shower early. Partly sunny. Chance showers overnight. 62.
Saturday: Sun and clouds. Breezy and cool. 55.
Sunday: Clouds early, then mostly sunny. Warmer. 69.
Monday: Mostly sunny. Warm. 78.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy. Afternoon rain/showers likely. 73.

Enjoy
