My observations made below are good except for one factor. Instead the strong energy track west - east across our state, it will track more SW-NE. This gives us less lift and duration of light snow. So it will snow, starting around 3 am and ending by 9 am. This 6 hour period will be on and off, light with moderate bursts.
Snow: Coating - 1" in valleys to 1-2" on highest ridges. The further south you live the less you get. S
Tuesday: Milder with temps around 40 in midday, but then as mentioned below watch for late afternoon/evening snow showers and squalls to come though. Becoming very windy overnight with snow flurries and snow showers. Very heavy lake effect and with upper level support, another coating - 1" may fall in our area.
Wednesday: Very cold. Windy. Snow flurries and snow showers ending. Highs only in the mid 20's.
Next system to watch is Thursday: More light snow/snow showers. Light accumulation.
Friday/Friday night? Intriguing but I doubt anything comes of it for us.
Enjoy the seasonally cool December day today.
